Oribi was a gnome of humble beginnings. She was set out into the world at a young age, full of naivete and a zest for life. Oribi spent the first independent years of her life begging and foraging for any food or money she could. After years of unhappiness the pauper came upon a band of rogues who warily took her in. Over time the rogues taught Oribi all the secrets of stealthiness and filching.

The gnome quickly learned that the art of thievery was a very lucrative art indeed and became one of the most talented rogues in her covey. Oribi's new found life allowed her to enjoy whatever material possesions she could ever want, however,

Oribi still was not happy. She set out to roam the land of Norrath in search of her meaning in life. After wandering through many plains, deserts, and forests,

Oribi came across a small camp of nomads. The travelers were destitute, needy people. Oribi's charitable heart went out to these strangers and it was then that she vowed to help all the impoverished Norrathians she could.

Oribi's life was devoted to helping the less fortunate, and she did so by making use of her remarkable ability to beguile and steal. The gratitude she received from those she helped was what she had been in search of, and from that moment on Oribi was truly happy.
