Monk Shackle Quests

Newbie iksar monks start out with a Guild Summons in their inventory, which reads:

This Broodling has reached the Age of Rebirth. The Broodling is called forth to Cabilis to begin training in the art of fist and tail. Within the walls of the Court of Pain shall I wait. This summons shall be presented to me upon arrival. Discipline awaits. Grand Master Glox The Swifttail Cast

You say, 'Hail, Master Raska'

Master Raska says 'Hmmph!! Expect to be a great master such as I? Maybe. You still appear to be a [whiff].'

You say, 'What is a whiff?'

Master Raska says 'A whiff is the sound of a tail striking air. A whiff is you. Inexperienced. I can help you. If you [want to earn the second shackle].'

You say, 'I want to earn the second shackle.' (need Amiable faction or higher; can't be sneak-quested)

Master Raska says 'Then you shall perform the first rite. Take this pack. To the Outlands you will go. You will fill and combine the pack with one of each of the following - Goblin Scout Beads, a Large Scorpion Pincer, a froglok skipper's skipping stone and a Sabertooth Cub Canine. Return the full first rite pack and you shall prove yourself a monk.'

Master Raska says 'You have succeeded, young ______! You have proven yourself a skilled monk. You will now wear the shackle of clay. You will now be required to increase your intensity of training in hopes that you may soon be able to earn your [shackle of stone].'

You say, 'Tell me about the shackle of stone'

Master Raska says 'Interested in the shackle of stone are we? They are made for monks who have earned their first two shackles and are ready to climb up to the next rung. A monk who feels he is ready to wear the shackle of stone must first [perform the task of cleansing].'

You say, 'I am ready to perform the task of cleansing'

Master Raska says 'Go forth to the outer gates and seek out the Iksar bandits. They have refused to bow to the will of the empire and shall pay dearly for their traitorous ways. They often wear bandit masks. If you return with two bandit masks and the shackles of dust and clay then I shall reward you with the shackle of stone.'

Master Raska says, 'You will get nothing until I hold two bandit masks and the shackles of dust and clay.'

Master Raska says, 'You have done supremely, ______. You have earned your shackle of stone. Mistress Niska will now help you on your way to earning the shackle of rock. May the elements guide you to the next rung.'

You say, 'Hail, Master Niska'

You say, 'I want the Shackle of Rock.'

You say, 'What are the Fists of Talon?'

You say, 'Hail, Klok Poklon'

Klok Poklon says 'Greetings, thirsty traveler. Pull up a stool and lay yer copper down. It's time to drink and be merry. Just don't get too merry or I will have to call the troopers.'

You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'

You say, 'Where is Master Rinmark?'

Master Bain says 'Seeking Master Rinmark? He has left the Court of Pain. Gone to focus his thoughts on the elements of wind and thunder. I believe he was headed toward the Overthere. That was the last I heard of his trek.'

You say, 'Hail, an Iksar master'

You say, 'Are you Master Rinmark?'

You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'

You say, 'Who is Gomoz?'

You say, 'I will return the hand to Cabilis.'

You say, 'Hail, The Great Oowomp'

You say, 'I want to see the dancing skeleton.'

The Great Oowomp says 'Oh!! You wish to see the great Oowomp perform his magic!! I have studied with the grand mages and wise [McMerin clan] of Norrath, as my speech implies. I can call forth the skeleton with but a twinkling of my power and five of your gold.'

You say, 'Hail, a dancing skeleton'

You say, 'Are you Gomoz?'

You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'

You say, 'I will return the hand to Cabilis.'

You say, 'what troubles with an outlander'.

Master Niska says 'It seems Klok Ephmir has encountered an outlander who was hunting the food we lizards enjoy. The Legion will not act without proof of this outlanders existence. We were asked by the Baron to find this proof. We shall do this. You shall provide me with the outlanders head and the shackles of Rock and Stone!!"

You say, 'Hail Klok Ephmir'.

You say, 'what outlander'.

Master Niska says 'This is not all. Bring me the item this caste seeks and the shackles of stone and rock.'

Master Niska says 'Very good!! Here is your shackle of copper. The emperor shall be pleased that I, Mistress Niska, have slain the outlander. Do you have some time? I need someone to be my [personal courier]? Will you?'

You say, 'I will be your personal courier.'

You say, 'I will assist old Rinmark in completing his rock garden.'

You say, 'Where is your student?'

You say, 'what legendary whistling fists?'

You say, 'Hail, an Iksar slave'

You say, 'Are you Veltar?'

You say, 'Master Rinmark sent me'

You say, 'Where is the coppernickel key?'
