The Summoning of Dread

You say, 'Hail, Nivold Predd'

Nivold Predd says, 'What do you want? Do not disturb me lest you plan to assist in my [Summoning of Dread].'

You say, 'I will assist in the summoning of Dread.'

Nivold Predd says, 'There are some components essential to the summoning of the avatar of Dread. I require the eye of a griffon, some [powder of reanimation], the brain of the Ishva Mal, and the toes of an ice giant. Fetch me these reagents so that we may summon the avatar to forge a shield worn only by the mightiest apostles of Cazic-Thule.'

You say, 'What is powder of reanimation?'

Nivold Predd says, 'There is a gnome necromancer who has been experimenting with a powder used in reanimating long dead organic tissue. He is known to frequent places populated by undead in order to pursue his research. Seek him out and procure a bit of his powder.'

You say, 'Hail, Khrix Fritchoff'

Khrix Fritchoff says 'Close the door and be gone, fool!! You are going to give away my hiding spot!!'

You say, 'I require a powder of reanimation'

Khrix Fritchoff says, 'So you want the powder of reanimation eh? Well you can have it if you can get it from that terrible abomination I have created! Perhaps you have a Fire Beetle Eye for me so that I may see my way out of here!

Khrix Fritchoff says 'At last I may leave this place!! Good luck destroying my abomination, you will surely need it against my most powerful yet uncontrollable creation!'

Khrix Abomination says, 'Grrrarrrrrg!! Har har grrrarrrrg!!'

Nivold Predd says, 'Commendable work, you have proven yourself a valuable member of our order. Our chanters have summoned the avatar of Dread. Hurry and take him this mundane shield so that he may forge it into a truly valuable symbol of your devotion to the lord of Fear!'

Avatar of dread shouts 'Grrrraaaaarrrrrg!! The stench of fear permeates the walls of this city! I will forge one item for the faithful of our Lord Cazic-Thule!! Make haste! My time here is short!'

Avatar of Dread says, 'Wear this shield imbued with my very essence. Wear it in honor of your great services to our Lord Cazic-Thule!!'
