all our enemies will once again tremble. My friends, the pieces are nearly in place so that our great master, Marnek Jaull may rise up again and spread the cleansing fire of the Burning Prince. Oh, how little our enemies realize! There are some among them who believe they have the knowledge to properly assemble the masters wand.

I cannot stand to be among the council any longer, but I must remain until I uncover all their secrets. The rings are only the beginning of their deception. …To the south, one will meet the sands of the Oasis of Marr, which separates the northern and southern reaches of the Ro desert. Legends speak that what is now the northern Desert of Ro was once the northern reaches of the ancient Elddar forest – the former home of the elves who had once resided upon Antonica, then called Tunaria.

…When Ashengate Temple was raised from the Nest into the skies as Solusek Ro, the Prince of Flame, raised the mountains along the Serpent River, there were some dragon and drake eggs that went with it. Even with his deed done, Solusek Ro's magic continued to course through the stone and earth through magma that had its own life.

Veldyn was an ordinary Elddar. She lived her long life in peace in the Elddar forest, weaving silk and tending the wounded. She was young in the terms of her people and well loved by all. There was a festival the day that the world ended -- the day Solusek Ro's jealousy brought an end to Elddar prosperity. The trees were filled with glowing wisps.

…Today, the once great city of Takish Hiz lies in crumbled ruins. The once majestic forest city succumbed to the fury of Solusek Ro's wrathful sun, leaving sand and ruins behind. In ancient days, the city of Takish Hiz nestled in the heart of the Elddar Forest. The elves who inhabited this lush forest are the ancestors of today's high and wood elves.

When Tunare saw her elves come to ruin at Solusek Ro's hands, she shed tears upon the lands. For each tear, a nymph was created. The nymphs came to life to tend to the lands that had been twisted and tortured by Solusek Ro's anger. And for each place where one of Tunare's tears fell, a specific type of nymph was born.

…As Hagad watched the ship and his crewmen burn, he prayed to Prexus to save the sailors, but the god did not. Instead, Prexus moved the tides east so that Hagad's body would be found by a passing sailor named Whent.

The great shaman giant, Goru'kar D'Toldan, was killed when Solusek Ro raised the spine of the world along the Serpent River. He went valiantly, not quietly. As the ground shook and cracked around him, Goru'kar used all the magic he could summon from within and around him.

…"Rae`Lizzia Karsyllo, a devote follower of Solusek Ro, was once a student of Ghanlin Skyphire. Her husband Mortiker Karsyllo was a shadowknight, follower of Cazic-Thule. Rae`Lizzia was often frowned upon because of her marriage to this dreaded heretic. Because Mortiker was not allowed to step foot into Erudin, Rae`Lizzia rarely traveled in the city herself.

…The dragons kept a protective shroud over the Nest while the lands around them began to be populated by the races of the gods. The Elddar elves nearby, created by Tunare, built their city, Takish-Hiz in the Elddar Forest and drew the jealous eye of Solusek Ro. He greatly resented Tunare's prosperous elves and chose to ruin them.

Many have heard of Marnek Jaull, the ancient necromancer who commanded a cult known as the Burning Dead -- all devout followers of Solusek Ro, the Burning Prince. The legends say that Marnek wrote tomes of powerful magics and even created items of great power, the most notable being the Dagger of Marnek and the Wand of the Burning Dead.

…My life has been devoted to the study of power, the power to destroy, to annihilate entire forces with a single wave of fire or ice. Following Solusek Ro has given me insight into the nature of such magic, and perhaps one day I shall be even as strong as he.
