In Ashengate Temple in the Reliquary of the Scale, the dragons of the Nest would sometimes take their eggs to be blessed and protected by the power of Veeshan's Scale. More of a ritual and tradition than having any real effect on the eggs themselves, it was something many dragon parents took time to do. Even drake eggs were found in recessed areas near the scale.
When Ashengate Temple was raised from the Nest into the skies as Solusek Ro, the Prince of Flame, raised the mountains along the Serpent River, there were some dragon and drake eggs that went with it.
Even with his deed done, Solusek Ro's magic continued to course through the stone and earth through magma that had its own life. The conscious element of the magma bears the name Magmaraug. The magma was left behind to continue the drought in the old Elddar Forest and ensure that no forest would ever grow where the Elddar Forest and elves once lived. But as oft happens there are side effects when a godly magic touches the mortal realm.
The magma had an effect on those things its touched, especially living things. One drake egg remained in the path of the living magma and was lodged beneath its constant flow for thousands of years. The drake that was born from that egg, Ambersnout, struggles with the influence of two gods as a child of Veeshan touched by the magic of Solusek Ro. Its power is wholly unpredictable and violent, even to itself.
