Ka Vethan was the first stronghold of the Akheva. It was destroyed by the Maiden's Scar, a powerful storm that erupted through countryside and now lies dormant across the skies to the twilight. All that remains of the once enormous, living citadel are piles of solid, dead matter of shadow and stone that had once composed the grand fortress.
Background Lore
Ka Vethan was the first stronghold of the Akheva – a dark, malevolent race that pays homage to the Maiden of Shadows as its creator and act as fervent guardians of what it believes to be her realm, the moon of Luclin. This first great city was destroyed by the Maiden's Scar, a powerful storm that erupted through the countryside and now lies dormant across the twilight skies. It is known that the storm was summoned by Aten Ha Ra, one of two Akhevian priestesses, who vied for power during the ancient Akhevian civil war.
Now all that remains of the once enormous, living citadel are piles of solid, dead matter of shadow and stone that hand once composed the grand fortress. However, the destruction of this great citadel had not stopped the conflict, for the two opposing factions of the Akhevian race remain – those loyal to the presiding priestess, Aten Ha Ra, who resides in the new citadel of Vex Thal, and those who have been outcast from their society as heretics for their loyalty to the treacherous and deceased Akelha`Ra.
Immortal and androgynous in their nature, the Akheva have not forgotten this ancient conflict and both sides continue to uphold a fierce rivalry and disdain for one another. Akelha`Ra's loyal supporters remain fiercely devout to their initial cause have not resolved to lay their ultimate purpose to rest beside their fallen leader. The outcasts remain within the ruins of Ka Vethan, but their purpose is guarded by an impenetrable umbra of mystery. Some believe that the outcast of Akheva remain amongst the rubble of their defeat out of fear for their enemies wrath, but a more common regard of their actions is one of speculation surrounding a dark and much deeper purpose, one that remains well-guarded beneath anachronistic demeanor that fuels their stay.
The Centi, a group of Shadow Tegi who try to help keep the Akheva secluded, now guard those who chose to stay behind. They have taken over parts of the Ruins to hold as their own. The Centi are essentially an army that the Akheva use. They guard the halls, rooms and Akheva who are nearest to them. They are typically found close to one another because they feel that they can cause the most harm when they ban together.

The four-armed creations of Luclin, known as the Akheva, are intimidating both physically and mentally. So, why then did I go amongst them to learn a bit of their history? Because some allowed me, and that right there is evidence that the Akheva are not a unified people of like-minded aggression towards those of us in Sanctus Seru.
Perhaps there is a schism here to be exploited?
I have learned that the Akheva ruins found within the Maiden's Eye are the remains of a once great city. The city was called Ka Vethan. They claim it's marble walls and striking architecture have been reduced to rubble and crumbling buildings, over the years due to the devastating storm that rages in the region to this day. Apparently, it wasn't always this way!
Why then do these Akheva remain here? We know of another city, one that houses their leader, Aten Ha Ra. Do they remain simply due to sentimentalism, or familiarity?
I found my answer! Civil war keeps the Akheva of Ka Vethan separated from those within Vex Thal. They hold Aten Ha Ra responsible for the storm that rages, claiming she sent it as a weapon to slay their previous leader, Akelha'Ra, and anyone else who supported her. It succeeded and Aten Ha Ra ascended to the throne, becoming High Priestess.

"We Akheva are immortal entities placed in this plane by the mistrees of shadow. We are her most perfect creation. Death has no meaning to us, as even in death we find rebirth through the power of the mistress. My imprisonment was caused by my seperation from the power of the mistress by [Atenha`Ra].
