God of the sun and fire, a self-interested power broker among the gods.

Rodcet Nife
God of health and healing, patron of life against Bertoxxulous's decay.

The Tribunal
The collective god of justice and balance, enforcing cosmic law.

Veeshan
The dragon goddess who first claimed Norrath in the Age of Scale, seeding it with dragonkind. The dominance of her brood is what the gods' creation pact was formed to counter.
Druzzil Ro
Druzzil Ro, the Matron of the Art and goddess of magic, intervened at the end of the Planes of Power event to prevent Zebuxoruk from sharing forbidden knowledge, resetting and splitting the timestream to create EQ2's divergent timeline.
E'ci
E'ci, the Wintry Guardian, is a demi-goddess embodying the element of ice and the second member of the Triumvirate of Water, governing a portion of the Plane of Water alongside Prexus.
Ehayae
Spirit deity of birth, rebirth, and creation, paired with Drinal to complete the cycle of life; a neutral goddess associated with dawn and twilight, depicted as a golden hawk-headed winged figure by her Gihjna followers.
Fennin Ro
Elemental lord of Fire, one of four gods of power created by The Nameless to shape the cosmos, who rules the Plane of Fire and aided in forming the physical world.
Luclin
The Maiden of Shadows, deity worshipped by the Akheva who claim her as their creator; her name is also given to the moon upon which the Akheva dwell.
Povar
Povar, the Veiled One, is the mysterious third member of the Triumvirate of Water, ruling Water in its gaseous state and manifesting as neither male nor female, neither tangible nor incorporeal.
Rolfron Zek
Rolfron Zek, the Hollow God and Lord of Despair, is a lesser deity and adopted son of Rallos Zek, formerly a kobold shaman of Brell Serilis who ascended to godhood through his overwhelming sorrow when Brell abandoned the kobold race.
Sahteb Mahlni
Most powerful of the known animal spirit deities; the embodiment of primal instinct and the balance of life and death, worshipped exclusively by Vah Shir shamans and beastlords.
Saryrn
Goddess of torment and pain whose plane is a black cube of obsidian and blood; she began as a mortal woman promised love by Erollisi Marr who descended into jealousy, madness, and eventually ascended to divine embodiment of endless suffering.
Tallon Zek
The first orc and deity of tactics; according to orc belief, Rallos Zek deconstructed him to birth the orc race from his essence.
Tarew Marr
Tarew Marr, the Water Lord, is the father of the Marr Twins (Erollisi Marr and Mithaniel Marr) and one of the Gods of Power in the Norrathian pantheon.
Terris-Thule
Terris-Thule, the Queen of Nightmares, is a daughter of Cazic-Thule who was sent to inflict terrible dreams on the imprisoned Mithaniel Marr and steal his gift of life.
The Nameless
The supreme primordial entity in EQ cosmology who created the universe, the gods, and all of Norrath; exists outside space and time and is the origin of all divine power.
Tholuxe Paells
Minor demigod of debauchery and vices who tempts the weak of virtue with offers of eternal pleasure, drawing mortals into his plane where that pleasure becomes inescapable torment.
Torvonnilous
Minor deity known as the Lord of Greed who rules the Demi-Plane of Greed, depicted as a bejeweled humanoid carrying an obsidian cane crowned with a platinum dragon's head.
Ullkorruuk
Ullkorruuk, known as the Archtraitor and Lady of Insurrection, is a minor deity residing on the Plane of Hate who is worshipped by traitors and vengeful Teir'Dal, allied with Innoruuk.
Vallon Zek
The god of strategy, one of the twin sons of Rallos Zek alongside his brother Tallon Zek.
Varig Ro
A minor deity of craftsmanship, son of Solusek Ro and grandson of Fennin Ro, manifesting as a bearded iron-built man — canonicity disputed per source article.

Vazaelle Kaleine, known as The Mad, was an Erudite necromancer-outcast elevated to divine status by Cazic-Thule; her madness shaped her realm to resemble the ruins of Paineel, and she inflicts prophetic visions and madness upon unsuspecting Norrathians.

Xegony, Queen of Air, is the creator of the aviak race; she stripped them of flight as punishment for their pride and complicity during the first Rallosian march.

Aviak
Aviaks are a winged, bird-like race created by Xegony, Queen of Air; they lost the gift of flight as divine punishment and slowly regained it over the ages following the Rallosian wars.

Hardy humans of the frozen north, dwelling in Halas and worshipping the Tribunal.
Bubonian
A race of rat people found in the Plane of Disease.
Burynai
Burynai are a subterranean burrowing race in EQ2 who venerate Brell Serilis as their creator and believe they are his chosen people destined to rule all others through digging up his hidden gifts.
Centaur
Horse-man hybrid race that roamed the Plains of Karana for ages; they have no creation myth and claim to have always existed, but were scattered when the Shattering reshaped their homeland.
Crystalkin
A race of crystalline beings native to the Pellucid Grotto in the Underfoot, tasked by Brell Serilis with managing and refining the primal mineral substances that form the foundations of Norrath and other worlds.

Djinn
The djinn are a jann race of air elementals who rule the floating city of Esianti, where their king holds court at the castle Glimpse of Eternal Blue.
Drachnid
Hybrid creatures created by Mayong Mistmoore by grafting dark elf bodies onto giant spiders originally bred by the sorceress Najena, organized in matriarchal colonies and released into Norrath.
Drakota
The lesser dragons of Norrath, chaotic and powerful flyers whose hides lack magical properties, eventually brought under the control of the greater dragonkind.
Drolvarg
Wolf-like humanoid inhabitants of Kunark found near Firiona Vie and Karnor's Castle, known for fierce territorial behavior but capable of surprising pragmatic mercy.
Duende
The duende are a jann race of earth elementals who have closed off their capital, Mearatas, behind a heavy stone gate and are generally hostile to mortal visitors.

Dwarf
Brell's first creation; short, strong, proud, bearded miners and warriors. The 'true children of Serilis.' Live in the underground city of Kaladim beneath the Butcherblock Mountains.
Efreeti
The efreeti are one of the jann races encountered in the Burning Lands, ruling the realm of Aalishai under their queen, the Heart of Flawless Brass.
Erudite
Scholarly humans of Odus who pursue magic and reason; split into Erudin and the Heretics of Paineel.
Froglok
Amphibious people of Guk and the Feerrott with a long, tragic history tied to Cazic-Thule.
Galorian
A primitive ape-like race native to Luclin (most other races call them troglodytes) who live in independent tribes or serve as servants of the Akhevans.
Gnoll
Hyena-like humanoid race in EverQuest, major inhabitants of zones like Blackburrow and Splitpaw, and among the primary residents of Brell's Rest in the Underfoot afterlife.

Gnome
Brell's second creation, after the dwarves; wiry, clever, knee-high tinkerers with an innate skill for gadgets and machinery. Their city Ak'Anon is ruled by a mechanical king. Neutral; centered on Tinkering.
Goblin
A diminutive race co-created by Rallos Zek and Brell Serilis, known for their technological ingenuity, their service in the Rallosian Empire as weapon-makers, and their eventual settlement as the Runnyeye clan in Bog Mountain after the divine punishment stripped them of their inventive gifts.

Half Elf
Human-Elf hybrids; taller and stronger than elves but often shunned by both parent races. Found mainly in Kelethin and Surefall Glade.
Halfling
Cheerful, small folk of the Misty Thicket and Rivervale, followers of Bristlebane.
Haoaera
A race whose origin chronicle (the Archtome of Haoaera, translated from the Book of Ukan) records hunting traditions and origin myths involving an elder figure Rokan and a being called Reveskius.

High Elf
Tunare's elves of Felwithe.
Hua Mein
A peaceful panda-like race native to the Stoneburnt Mountains of Odus who lived for centuries alongside beast, kejek, and man before being displaced when Erudites built a village in their homeland.
Human
The most populous and adaptable race of Norrath, centered on Qeynos and Freeport.
Iksar
Reptilian people of Kunark who built and lost the great Sebilisian Empire; the survivors rebuilt at Cabilis.
Jal'Raeth
Ancient, extinct mysterious race from EQOA whose architecture and ruins predate known civilizations and whose entire population disappeared without violence, leaving only abandoned structures in desolate blighted lands.
Jann
The jann are a family of elemental races (efreeti, djinn, duende, ondine) whose ambassadors meet to negotiate with one another across their respective elemental realms.
Kedge
An ancient race of fish-men created by Prexus who once had great cities across Norrath's oceans, including near Velious, before being nearly wiped out.
Kobold
A race of dog-like humanoids found throughout Norrath, with major populations on Odus (Warrens), in Antonica (Nagafen's Lair), and on Velious (Velketor's Labyrinth).
Minotaur
Fierce bull-headed humanoid race of Norrath, notably not created by any god unlike most races, dwelling in the northern wastes and feared for their great size, strength, and savage nature.

Ogre
A playable EQ race of giant warriors, soldiers of the Rallosian army. Their low intelligence is canon, but WHY (made dim vs. cursed-to-lose-it) is a contested EQ1/EQ2 split.
Ondine
The ondine are a jann race of water elementals who visit the other jann realms of the Burning Lands, including sulfur pools set aside for them in Aalishai.
Orc
A brutish, war-like race of Norrath, recognized for their hulking build, tusks, and tribal warrior culture; major adversaries of many civilized races across Antonica and beyond.
Sarnak
Sarnak are a lizard-dragon hybrid race created by the Iksar as slaves, who eventually overthrew their Iksar masters; in EQ2 a more perfect Gorowyn Sarnak lineage was created after the original Sarnak discovered a lost stone of Cazic-Thule.
Shadowed Men
Intelligent planar humanoids of evil tendency from a realm called the Void, who appear on Norrath in a semi-invisible state and use black obsidian monoliths as entry points; first recorded during the Age of Turmoil.
Shissar
Extinct race of brutal intelligent serpent-people who ruled Kunark before the Iksar, enslaving Iksar as workers and food from their capital of Chelsith, until their gods destroyed them with a plague.
Sifaye
The Sifaye are a race of faerie-like creatures native to the Wakening Land, described as protected by and mystically connected to the goddess Tunare.
Troll
Regenerating swamp brutes of Grobb and Innothule, followers of Cazic-Thule.
Vah Shir
Feline people exiled to the moon of Luclin, dwelling in Shar Vahl.
Valorian
A race of warriors residing in the Plane of Valor who resemble humans clad in heavy plate armor.

Xulous
Ancient extinct race of Norrath who built great necropoli from dragon bones during the Age of Scale; their civilization was corrupted and destroyed by Bertoxxulous through undead plague.
Ydal
A race created by Innoruuk within Mistmyr, a realm in the Plane of Hate, organized into five clans and required to worship their creator above all else.
Yha-lei
An aquatic race devoted to Prexus found in Timorous Deep; they experienced a religious crisis when Prexus departed Norrath and were left without divine guidance.

Ak'Anon
The ancient, mechanized gnome city on Faydwer — half fortress, half laboratory — southeast of the Faydark, adjacent to Steamfont Mountains. Ruled by the mechanical King Ak'Anon.
Akheva Ruins
The ruins of Ka Vethan, the first stronghold of the Akheva on Luclin, destroyed by the Maiden's Scar storm during an ancient Akhevian civil war between the factions of Aten Ha Ra and Akelha'Ra.
Arx Mentis
Arx Mentis is a hidden, self-reliant city founded on a remote island by the isolated followers of Lord Inquisitor Seru after his rebellion caused the fall of the Combine Empire; a floating citadel above it houses the wizards of the Indagatoris Opertum.
Bastion of Thunder
The fortress of Karana suspended within a hollow volcanic mountain at the heart of the Plane of Storms, home to storm avatar giants (Taarid, Satuur, Kuraaln, Volaas) who are not creations of Rallos Zek.
Bazaar
Neutral marketplace on Luclin in the Fordel Mist triad, accessible from the Nexus and open to traders of any race without prejudice.
Befallen
A sunken ruined keep in the Commonlands, now an undead-haunted dungeon.
Blackburrow
The gnoll-warren dungeon between Qeynos and Surefall, home of the Sabertooth gnolls.
Burning Woods
Scorched Kunark woodland still smoldering from an ancient meteor impact; the crater of the eternally burning orb sits at its center.

The maze-like stronghold of the ancient dark elf vampire Mayong Mistmoore, off Lesser Faydark.

The brutal stronghold of the Sarnak on Kunark.
City of Mist
Ruined Iksar city in the Emerald Jungle of Kunark, overgrown with vegetation and shrouded in cold green mist, haunted by the undead.
Cobaltscar
Velious coastal peninsula bordering Skyshrine and Siren's Grotto, home to Bulthar, Othmir, and sirens above the frigid Cobalt Ocean.
Combine Dredge
Combine Dredge is a set of platforms the Combine Empire's geomancers raised from the sea floor in the Darkened Sea to harvest resources, later abandoned after Prexus attacked and sank the outpost.

Crushbone
The ring-shaped citadel of the warmongering Crushbone orc clan, directly north of Kelethin; the major military threat to all of Faydwer. Holds elf and dwarf slaves in its slave pits.
Crypt of Dalnir
An Iksar dungeon-tomb on Kunark built as the crypt of the ancient Haggle Baron Dalnir, inhabited by coerced sarnak and undead.
Crypt of Nadox
The burial chamber of the undead troll shaman Nadox, hidden within Broken Skull Rock, containing shrines and temples to Innoruuk and a hidden lagoon used by troll pirates.
Crystal Caverns
A Velious dungeon formed from Velium where Veeshan breathed upon the land, occupied by snow orcs and home to horrors in its unexplored depths.
Dagnor's Cauldron
Geothermal salt lake east of the Butcherblock Mountains, home to a feared lake monster and the rumored resting place of the Hammer of Butcherblock.
Dawnshroud Peaks
Rolling moss-and-grass hills on Luclin's lightside at the base of the Netherbian Lair, bordering Grieg's End and Maiden's Eye.
Degmar, The Lost Castle
Degmar is a dwarven castle the Combine Empire transported to the bottom of the sea in the Darkened Sea centuries ago; its great library may hold survivors and information tied to the storm caused by Karana-worshiping kedge wizards.
Desert of Ro
A vast desert on Antonica surrounding Freeport, encompassing Northern Ro, Southern Ro, and the Oasis of Marr; once the site of the ancient Elddar Forest before Solusek Ro burned it.

Erud's Crossing
A small island between Erudin and Qeynos inhabited by a tribe of Kerran (Vah Shir) who worship Prexus, the ocean lord.
Erudin
The shining city of the Erudites on Odus, a bastion of magic and learning.
Esianti
Esianti is the djinn capital of the Burning Lands, a city built atop a floating island where diplomats of the jann races come to make deals with the djinn.
Estate of Unrest
A haunted dungeon zone in Faydwer, once home to a dwarven noble, overrun by undead following the unholy destruction that created Dagnor's Cauldron.

Everfrost Peaks
Frozen Antonican zone; 2008 EQ1 lore (Seeds of Destruction) retroactively frames it as frozen by the curse on the ogres.

Felwithe
The pristine high elf city in the southeastern corner of Greater Faydark; renowned for its magnificent architecture. (Becomes 'New Tunaria' in EQ2 canon.)

Firiona Vie
An elven outpost on Kunark, named for the hero Firiona Vie, established after centuries of failed attempts due to froglok raids orchestrated by Venril Sathir and subsequent Forest Giant assaults.
Freeport
The sprawling, lawless port city of western Antonica, rival to Qeynos.
Frontier Mountains
A rugged mountain zone of Kunark, contested ground near the Sarnak of Chardok.
Fungus Grove
Enormous Luclin underground cavern beneath the Twilight Sea, floor to ceiling with fungi and moss under a perpetual humid drizzle.
Gnome Memorial Mountain
Gnome Memorial Mountain is an undersea dome the Combine Empire built to preserve a breeding population of gnomes, who were wiped out over generations by bloodmoon orcs accidentally trapped in the dome with them; the dome has since surfaced.
Gorowyn
The new Sarnak city on Timorous Deep in EQ2, home of the Sarnak who liberated themselves from Di'Zok rule.

Greater Faydark
The vast, perpetually-dark forest at the heart of Faydwer; home of the wood elves (Kelethin) and the high elves (Felwithe), and the newbie area for wood, high, and half elves. Near the dwarf and gnome lands.
Grieg's End
Isolated Luclin keep at the Scarlet Desert's northern edge, warped by the mad Combine mage Grieg and haunted by shadow creatures.

The capital city of the Combine Loyalists on Luclin, one of two splinter groups of the Combine Remnant, named after Imperator Tsaph Katta.
Kedge Keep
Submerged Kedge-built dungeon off Dagnor's Cauldron, now controlled by the conjurer Phinigel Autropos and his conjured aquatic hordes.
Kerra Isle
Dense tropical jungle on Odus, home to the cat-people Kerrans, perched atop a sheer cliff ridge impassable from the south.

Kurn's Tower

Lower Guk
Lower Guk (the Ruins of Ancient Guk) is a vast underground dungeon on Antonica, divided between living frogloks led by the Froglok King and undead controlled by the Ghoul Lord, regarded as one of the two most deadly dungeons on the continent.
Maiden's Eye
Desolate Luclin zone where the Akheva stronghold Ka Vethan was leveled by the Maiden's Scar storm, leaving shadow-and-stone ruins haunted by shadelings.
Maj'Dul
